first, this light is beautiful. It works well over longer tables and spaces. It comes with incandescent light bulbs which weren’t very bright so I replaced them with 5 watt LED bulbs and now this fixture is very bright. With the brighter LEDs, it’s bright enough to do homework by but we tend to leave it halfway for dinner.Installing wasn’t easy. If you aren’t experienced installing light fixtures, definitely get a professional. If you are experienced, get two helpers if possible due to the length of the fixture. The box came with lots of extras. The fixture hangs from four wires which were plenty long and very easy to adjust to level the fixture. The box also came with extra crystals and extra wire fittings to hold them all together. The crystal are assembled but you must tighten up every connection carefully as you unwrap them as some are loosely connected and will come apart. I broke one crystal, shattering it on the floor before I noticed how loose they were. Good thing there are extra crystals. I also placed a thick rug under me after that so if I dropped anything I’d be less likely to break another one.there is also a white cotton glove in the box for handling the crystals without getting them dirty. I recommend using it even if you hand doesn’t quite fit, my hands are gigantic and I squeezed them onto at least my fingers. If not use gloves to not get fingerprints all over the crystals. While holding the fixture be very careful not to damage the tiny eye hooks on the bottom of the fixture that the crystals hang from. My helpers damaged some of them squishing them up against the metal. I was able to reopen some of the tiny eye hooks with needle nose pliers, but two of them were snapped off completely. Using a fine drill bit and an abundance of patience, I was able to drill out the little stubs of wire and replace the original eye hooks with extra wire hangers I found in the box. The wire hangers I used were extra globe hooks I trimmed short and squeezed into the hole. Worked perfectly as a replacement. Holds the weight of the crystals and unnoticeable. However, far better to avoid damaging those eye hooks in the first place. You can level the fixture pretty well with the little locks at the top of each of the four supporting wires. It’s a little tricky because your helpers need to hold the fixture up while you adjust the height. We decided to hang the light up a little higher and so we had quite a bit of wire inside the ceiling fixture cap. The wires are very hard to cut you’d need a metal shear probably, I rolled the ends up and secured them inside the ceiling cap.its a tight fit and required patience to get everything in and secured. If I had one complaint, it’s regarding the bolt that holds it to the junction box. If your box isn’t lined up right, it may need adjustment because the method Siljoy uses requires screwing a bar into the junction box. The bar has two bolts that point downward. The fixture ceiling cap fits over those bolts and is secured using to cap nuts. It looks nice when done, but my junction box was about five degrees off center requiring me to adjust it. Which is a huge pain. Would be nice if the bar was adjustable so you could more easily line up the fixture with the room. I was able to rotate my box almost perfect and used the wire length locks to slightly twist the light the last one degree. My end result looks perfect, but I know the fixture ceiling cap and the light are technically a degree off from each other. If the box were more “off” I’d have had to call an electrician to correct the box. Also, you should check that your junction box is secured properly to hold any weight. Mine is tied in to a beam, if your isn’t you can hang theirs fixture from the Sheetrock using some alternate hanging hardware included in the box. Again, if you are not sure how that works, hire someone. It took a while to hang all the crystals. Work from the center out so you don’t jostle the hanging crystals and put something soft under you so if anything does drop, it won’t shatter. There are extra wire fittings for crystals and extra crystals in the box. Oddly, there were a dozen extra globe crystals but only two extra rectangle crystals. For years we just had a small ugly fixture in the dining room. This chandelier makes the space warm and welcoming. My wife and I love the modern, clean lines and bright, warm light. My wife wanted to buy this light fixture after looking at places such as restoration hardware and found this fixture similar enough at a significantly lower price. For installation, I did not have to install this fixture, since we had another fixture which was even more difficult to put together and so had an electrician install this fixture. That said, it took the electrician just about 15 minutes to install this fixture and so I did not have to pay him anything other than for installing the other fixture which took more than 2 hours. We had used this since 2016, but our home got hit by a tornado in 2019 and had to move. So, uninstalled this fixture and took it away. We just moved back into the home again and are expecting to install this back again and enjoy many more years with this fixture.Overall, we think this is good value for the money and looks very good over the dining table that we had it installed.Chandelier came in two days after I ordered it and it was well packaged. Assembling the crystal balls was tedious, but well worth the time. We got a profession to put it up and we love the light. It’s a beautiful addition to the room and a great price too!I hate this light with a holy burning passion. With regard to the aesthetics... it looks like the picture, and if you like the picture you'll like the lamp. My wife loves it and continues to rave about its beauty and her excitement about showing all of her friends. The installation was like entering the 7th circle of hell. I am certain that my wife bought this lamp in retaliation for giving her a $300 limit on her dining room lamp. She read the reviews, made herself fully aware of the pains of installing this chrome and fake crystal abomination, and gleefully clicked on "add to cart". Because I have to lash out in some form or fashion, here is a step by step detail of the pain and suffering I experienced assembling this carefully disguised torture device.Step 1 - The instructions. I have seen more detailed instructions on a can of soup. There is one page of instructions that appear to be a hand drawn schematic that could only serve to make assembly more complicated. I suggest you use the instructions to cover your mouth and mask your screams during step 4.Step 2 - Packaging. The entire base is wrapped in a protective film. Although I appreciate the manufacturers rigor in ensuring that the paper thin chrome was protected, I did not appreciate having to disassemble the entire apparatus in order to remove all said film. One and a half hours later, I had a pile of sticky film sitting next to me, my Goldendoodle was spreading sticky film all around the house, and I had a shiny chrome rectangle sitting in front of me with almost no sticky film on it.Step 3 - Wiring - Admittedly, I made this harder on myself by following instructions from another review. The other reviewer appeared to have a much better understanding of the workings of Chinese wiring and explained how in great detail how to test the wires with a device known as a "continuity tester" to ensure that the black and white wires from my house went where they were supposed to in the lamp wiring. Having achieved great success in step 2, I wanted to ensure top quality in step 3, so I and I made my way to Home Depot to buy a continuity tester. After carefully following the instructions from Mr. Chinese wiring man, I learned two things - (1) The black and white wire can go in either hole regardless of how the continuity tester beeps and (2) Home Depot doesn't accept returns for opened continuity testers despite only having been used once. ON the bright side, I did learn how to use a continuity tester.Step 4 - Hanging and balancing - Welcome to my personal hell. Three years ago I had surgery to correct an under bite. They broke my top jaw and brought it forward a few millimeters and put a whole bunch of steel inside my face. My head was swollen to the size of a basketball and I had to eat through a straw for six months. This was the most painful experience of my life before I encountered this lamp sent to me from the bowels of hell itself. There is no way to fully describe the frustration of balancing this light using a wiring system which was evidently designed by an engineer with a vendetta against middle class American husbands who are too cheap to hire electricians. The process of balancing this light took no less than 2 hours. This is only an estimate because I stopped several times to scream into my set of instructions, throw tiny crystal balls at my Goldendoodle (who was laughing at me and dodging effortlessly), go on long walks to reflect on what I am doing with my life, and sit staring at the wires while quietly weeping and questioning my sanity.Step 5 - Hanging the crystals. My wife, daughter and mother appear to be having a grand time putting up the crystals. They are all laughing merrily and exclaiming what a beautiful light it is. They are, however, curious as to why several of the tiny crystal balls are spread all around the living room and across the back yard.On the bright side they do include a set of white gloves to ensure you don't get fingerprints on the chrome during installation. The instructions were not very good but actually the fitting was straight forward enough. Its a time consuming job connecting it to the power supply and making sure the ceiling adequately supports it.The crystals are decent enough small hands are better and it needed 2 of us to support while fitting.Once up it does look nice and a great improvement from the one it replaced.I took a gamble on this as I wasn’t sure what it would be like but I’m so impressed! It looks amazing! Takes a while to hang all the crystals but it finishes off our dining room perfectly and I’ve seen similar in shops for 3 x the price. Highly recommended and well packagedVery beautiful grand looking chandelier with option for smart bulbs. Excellent value for money.Only thing is tricky to assemble and install. We got helpI was totally blown away by the quote this light,???????
